About 1:30 in, it switches to the studio version.

ah yes. The sound was soooo BIG live. They paralyzed you.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding the argument over Hackett vs. Stuermer. In the first 60 seconds we see a guitarist that appears to be Daryl Stuermer - he stance is more upright and mobile than Hackett's. Subsequently, it is without a shadow of a doubt, Steve Hackett all the way. So 2 different performances here, at least.

Hey Gruntol, you 'ol veteran! First of all I appreciate all the comments and the time you spent on my videos. Thanks for all that. Now to address the matter- It is Stuermer in the opening live sequence, it is a show from Oakland in 1984. And yes it is Hackett the rest of the way..um..obviously - no secret there.

Hey Mr. Tommygun - thanks a million (again) for your wonderful promotion of Genesis' great music. I regard Camel (early, of course) just about on the same level as Genesis - any chance that you might get enthusiastic about them too? There's plenty already on YouTube, but if you found anything special .......

The silenece is deafening. I mean, if they don't know the difference in tone between Steve and Daryl, then I can't help them. Plus, the VARI lights are a dead give away.
Next....

i just noticed all this. I'm here to the rescue. It's from Oakland 1984, well into the 3-man era - it is Daryl Stuermer
Tommygun1028 (September 8, 2008 at 5:55 pm)
sorry robb9uk,
The opening is taken from Oakland 1984. It is Daryl Stuermer. It is 7 years after Steve's departure and well into the 3-man era.
