omg. i still can't believe some1 thought of putting a huge 50 caliber round from WWII into a SNIPER RIFLE. that is one sick gun (in the good sense) i feel sorry for the terrorist tank driver who suddenly gets blasted by a 50 cal. piercing the tank armor.

At about $5 a pop...one full mag is $50, way to expensive for that kind of target shooting.
madmax1854 (November 24, 2008 at 12:50 pm)
Not too expensive for us.....

That doe not look like a military place - can anybody buy one of these in the US ?
seroyer2 (November 27, 2008 at 12:14 am)
yes. you got the money you can buy one
ncn8ochaser (November 7, 2008 at 3:31 pm)
ok, stupid question... but in a situation like that, no matter the cover, between the noise and the dust being blown around in front of the shooter, wouldnt it make him extremely easy to spot after taking his first shot? call me crazy, but i'd rather fire my 7.62x51mm NATO rounds at personnel any day of the week.

I guess you have a good point. The whole reason you would use a .50 is because you can extend your distance and still have lots of destructive power. Its going to be hard to advance on a well in trenched sniper that's over a mile away firing .50 rounds.
SamuelBlacks0n (November 15, 2008 at 12:56 pm)
No, using the M107 is not to just to increase range. Its used for taking out lightly armard vehicles and small bunkers.
swedishvolvo (November 15, 2008 at 1:17 pm)
Yes that's also true
Katana9990 (November 5, 2008 at 3:41 pm)
no it isnt. your looking through the scope, and the sonic vibrations are being forced outward, while the recoil itself is being forced towards your shoulder.
