I don't think anyone needs to "get" their morality from anywhere (even though some try). True morality and human decency is instinctive on a bery basic level.

"Martyn" is in the habit of making vague assertions- to the point of embarrassment. I have dealt with him before, and examples can be given upon request. On this occasion, he makes the mistake of attempting to speak for the entire school of Judaic theological thought. Firstly, we know that "Jesus, meek and mild" is a caricature and does't equate to the biblical accounts of Rabbi Yah'shua.

Meek -before anyone cites Matthew 11:29, be aware, the Greek word 'praios', translated into English as "meek", can simply refer to being "humble"; the context, established by the proceeding words in the verse, supports such an interpretation- and mild individuals do not order their followers to purchase weapons (Luke 22:36-38).

Meek and mild individuals do not violently cleanse places of worship (John 2:15) and do not allude to impending mass executions (Luke 19: 27). I won't dispute that there is an enormous discrepancy between "Jesus", pushed by the mainstream Gentile church, and the often uncomfortably conservative and nationalistic "Yah'shua" of scripture.

Referring to a Canaanite as a "Dog", doesn't sit well with the mainstream's "Jesus loves everybody" mantra. Mainstream churches fear to relay the teachings of the biblical, Torah observant Israelite: Rabbi Yah'shua Ha'Nazaret. Hence, I'm not a "Christian". I'm a member of the Netzarim- a messianic Jew.
