I respect a lot of the things about paganism. One thing they have that so many Western religions are missing is that they respect the Earth - we inhabit it, we don't own it.

I also respect Christianity when it is what is supposed to be - a religion of love, and not of judgment. Early Christianity was almost all universalist and they respected their Earth. Some Christians set a wonderful light for the Earth, and I respect you despite nasty, homophobic, Earth killing, right-wing fundamentalists

Hey thanks for the comment bout Pagans,I'm one by the way.Ya were more easy going bout our religion and dont shove it down peoples throats.....like certain someones lol

I think that the christians jews and muslims should pay some respect to the old gods, they are older after all.
I dont like that they refuse tp admit that their prescence. Seems a bit like arrogance and disrespect of the beleifs of others to me. Though I think they all beleive in the same god. But also I think my gods are also celtic gods by another name.

123Ivansharpe They probably should pay more respect to the old gods seeing as how they stole so much from pagans. After all most christian holidays were stolen from pagan celebration. Christmas was stolen from Yule.

If I remember they use to bring a tree in during the harsh weather to keep the tree spirit warm. They also had gift giving, and they would put a pentagram on top of the tree just like how christians put a star at the top of a christmas tree.

You're judging us with the same blind prejudice with which some of our lot judge others. I am a Christian and I consider the paths of Pagans as valid as mine.
Zaroktheimmortal (November 17, 2008 at 1:34 am)
Yes, that's why I respect pagans. They have their beliefs but do not force those beliefs on others. It's a very free religion. I've never seen a pagan tell someone what to believe in or how to worship any deity or anything. Which is how it should be. People should be free to believe in whatever they want and go about religion however they want.

I use to be Pagan myself during my teen years after I stopped believing that crap that was always being shoved down my throat since I was young.
Zaroktheimmortal (November 17, 2008 at 1:36 am)
Though now I guess Im closest to Agnostic. I believe pretty much anything is possible but I dont know what to believe in. I dont think I can believe in anything anymore unless I know for certain that it is real.

But I still have a lot of respect for Pagans. One of the few religions that allow so much freedom.

Christians on the other hand are always telling us what to believe in and how to worship their god. Their religion seems to be all about controlling us taking away our free will.
Steeleperfect (November 18, 2008 at 12:56 am)
As a Christian druid, I'd just like to point out that I don't want to take away anyone's free will. Anyone who does is not behaving like a Christian.

Don't judge us all by the action of creepy fundamentalists.
Zaroktheimmortal (November 18, 2008 at 2:49 am)
A christian that Believes in free will that is hard to find. I know some christians that aren't like the masses but most christians I've known are ignorant and either hate anyone who doesn't believe the same crap they believe or try to convert them and shove their religion down their throat. The local priest keeps telling me I should believe in god and accept him and all that other crap. The problem isn't with all christians just the major masses of them the ones that are like that.
Zaroktheimmortal (November 18, 2008 at 2:52 am)
But then perhaps the problem is more with the religion in general. Because it is a religion that not only accepts this kind of behaviour but encourages it. Too much hate and violence has been committed in it's name. Too much ignorance has been spread by it.
